I was just a boy when I started.
Infact my story is not the regular one:
Flashback to secondary school. I was desperate to get the attention of Mariam - my childhood crush.
I loved Arts or anything creative especially drawing.
So in a way to woo Mariam, I offered to draw her during one of our lunch breaks in school.
She agreed and this "lover boy" drew her to the best of his ability.
And guess what?
Although the picture looked very funny, everybody loved it.
Some jealous girls in class even reported to our Fine Arts teacher and to my utmost surprise, he was also pleased with to see the drawing.
Guess what next?
I started making money.
Other students started offering me money so I can draw for them - some for themselves and others either for their dads or moms.
They offered me #50, #100 while some knuckle heads even payed me #20😁
But I collected it all with joy.
Fast forward to after secondary school. I struggled to get into any higher institution even though I had good results.
After several attempt and it wasn't possible - with series of arguments with my parents, I enrolled at a start up computer centre & luckily for me someone there was teaching basic Design by the side. That was where I picked interest.
Funny how I started my design with Microsoft word & Adobe Photoshop.
